Adult Orientation to Aquatics
Learn all about the pool in this one time session! We’ll cover everything you need to know about water temperature, lane line designation, equipment available for use, shallow water
exercise, deep water exercise, including aqua jogging/lap swimming, and available aquatics programs. Whether you are a strong swimmer or a total non-swimmer, the pool has something
to offer to everyone. Bring your bathing suit and towel!  Space is limited to 4 members per orientation.

Fees: FREE to adult members

 

Aqua Jogging
A fun deep water jogging class using flotation belts or noodles for support. It promotes great strengthening and cardiovascular benefits in a non-impact environment. No swimming skills
required.

Sessions: Fall I-II, Winter, Spring I, Spring II, Summer


Days/Times: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. - class size: 16 max.


Fees:
Full members $74

Aqua Aerobics
A great low impact, cardiovascular workout that includes body toning exercise. A great way to get in shape while having fun in the water. Exercises may be incorporated into the routines from both the shallow and deep ends of the pool. No swimming skills required.

Sessions: Fall I-II, Spring II, Summer

Days/Times:

Wednesday and Friday
8:00 - 9:00 a.m. - Class size: 6 max.

Monday and Thursday
5:00 - 6:00 p.m. - Class size: 6 max.

Fees:

SilverSplash
An older adult group water fitness program designed to enhance each individual’s quality of life and daily function. SilverSplash utilizes the physical properties of the water to increase agility, range of motion and cardiovascular conditioning. No swimming ability is required. Space is limited. For more information, call the Aquatics Office at 583-9622, ext. 125.

Sessions: Fall I-II, Winter, Spring I, Spring II, Summer


Days/Times:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Low intensity class cario class- 10:15-11:00 a.m.
Medium intensity cardio class - 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.


Fees: FREE

 

Adult Conquer Your Fear
Ideal for the absolute beginner! Be sure to bring goggles and swim cap to class.  For more information, call the Aquatics Office at 583-9622, ext. 125.

Sessions: Begins on September 12th and October 31st


Days/Times:
Tuesday at 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. - class size: 6 max.
Sunday - 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. - Class size: 6 max.


Fees:
Full members $56

Program members $112 per session

 

Adult Swim Instruction
For adults who wish to improve their strokes. Swimmers of all skill levels welcome, including triathletes. Bring goggles and swim cap. For more information, call the Aquatics Office at 583-9622, ext. 125.

Sessions: Fall I-II

Class taught by David Raway.

Days/Times: Tuesday at 8:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Class size: 12 max.

Fees:

Full members $56/p

Days/Times: Tuesday at 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Class size: 6 max.

SCUBA

Participants will spend half of each class in the pool and the other half in the classroom. This class is for ages 14 and up and registration is open for members as well as non-members. The instructors are Dick and Carol Lantz, certified instructors with SCUBA Educators International.

Sessions:
6 weeks - Begins November 1, 2010

Days/Times:
Monday and Wednesdays - 7:30 -10:30 p.m.

Fees: $163 - membership is not required.

Aquatic After Therapy Program
An aquatic exercise class for individuals who have completed physical therapy and want a low impact total body conditioning program. It combines aerobic, stretching and strengthening exercises that offer both comfort and challenge to participants of all fitness levels. Physician’s
consent is required. Class is taught by Sharon Cudahy, AEA. This class has five week sessions.

Days/Times:
Tuesday and Thursday - 8:00-9:00 a.m.


Class size: 8 max.


Fees: $65 - membership is not required

 

American Red Cross Lifeguarding
This program is for ages 15 year olds and up and includes First Aid and CPR/FPR certifications. Books and supplies are included in price. For more information, call the Aquatics Office at 583-9622, ext. 125.

Sessions: Classes will be starting in October 2010 and February 2011. Call for more information.


Fees: $225/person per class - membership is not required

Please pick up a current pool schedule for lap lane times and availability or visit our aquatics page to view a schedule.

 

Family Recreational Swim Times
Open to full facility members only. All children must be accompanied in the pool by an adult (age 18 or older).


Friday: 7:30 - 8:45 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 - 2:00 p.m

 

Open Recreational Swim:
Members or Day Passes

Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older) in the pool area. Children requiring flotation devices must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older) in the pool. Members with questionable swimming abilities who wish to be in the deep end must take a swim test.


Monday: 1:30 - 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday: 2:30 - 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 1:30 - 6:00 p.m.
Thursday: 2:30 - 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 1:30 - 6:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 2:00 - 5:45 p.m.

Open swim space is limited. We reserve the right to limit the number of participants. Please check pool schedule for additional hours or changes.
