Policies

Membership Card

All current members must have a YMCA of Saratoga membership card. This card must be scanned as you enter the facility. If you do not bring your card staff will check you in manually through the computer system. If you frequently do not have your membership card,
we may not admit you into the facility. Replacement cost per card is $2.00.

Membership Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your membership you are required to submit a 30-day written notice to the YMCA of Saratoga. Cancellation forms are
available at the front desk at all of our branches. If your membership is inactive for more than 90 days, another improvement fee will apply if you decide to rejoin.

Membership Hold Policy

If you wish to suspend your membership for up to six months during a calendar year, you may do so for a fee of $15.00. If you have been physically injured and/or are unable to use the facilities the $15.00 fee will be waived as long as you have a note from your doctor. We require a 30-day written notice to place your membership on hold. The membership hold forms are available at all of our
branches. Please provide the dates for which you want your membership on hold, and you will not be drafted for membership during that time.

Improvement Fee

The $50.00 improvement fee is a onetime
charge as long as your membership remains current. The improvement fee is set aside for improvements to the facility or equipment.

Returned Check Policy

If your check is returned, NSF, it may be re-presented electronically, or by any other legal
method, and you will be assessed a processing fee applicable by law. When we use information from your check to make an electronic fund transfer, funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day you make your payment. The check writer is also responsible for all other check recovery costs, including all attorney’s fees, court costs, and taxes.

Bank Draft Memberships

E-Z Pay draft is a continuous membership plan which will remain active until you give the YMCA a 30-day written notice requesting termination of your membership. Members who have their membership fees drafted from checking or savings accounts are drafted on the 1st of the month. Members who have their membership fees drafted from credit or debit cards will be drafted on the 7th or 15th of the month. Members must be 18 years of age or older to authorize drafting membership dues. If the member is a minor, a parent or guardian must be present to sign all contracts. To make any changes to your membership or payment method, please give the YMCA a 30-day written notice. Changes can only be made by the primary member on the
membership. The YMCA may, at its discretion, adjust the monthly rate applicable to your category of membership. You will receive at least 30 days notice prior to any change. Should
your bank not honor your membership draft for any reason, you are still responsible for that payment, in addition to any service fee your bank may charge your account. If we are unable to draft your membership for two months, your membership will be terminated. If you wish to rejoin, you will then be required to join as a full pre-paid annual member, and to pay the past due balance.

Program Cancellation Policy

The YMCA of Saratoga reserves the right to cancel, without notice, any program due
to low enrollment. Fees will be credited/refunded.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

The YMCA of Saratoga will refund your membership/program fee within three (3) days of
purchase. After three (3) days, credit will be issued. Program fees are fully refundable if withdrawal from a class occurs due to a doctor’s documented illness or if the program is cancelled due to lack of enrollment. After the first week of a program, credit amounts are at the discretion of the Program Director.
